Swimsuit Cassie (2025) ![]() (Click to enlarge.) Alternate renders: External links: I did this picture of Cassie for a long-time friend of mine since both of us are fond of this character, though neither of us are really "Inkbunny material" so I added about 20 years onto her canon age. Apologies if you get that joke, that's kind of a weird thing to joke about. I feel like my status as a relic of a long bygone era is becoming more and more apparent with each of these submissions as there's a very large discrepancy between how "adult" this picture is compared to how "adult" a lot of contemporary furry art is today. Where I came from adult furry art was largely just pin-ups and characters in provocative poses. Cassie in a small swimsuit that you can see her nipples through seems to very much fall to the "furry fandom of the late 1990's" side of things. Looking back at my other drawings they really are mostly just pin-ups. Not that there's anything wrong with something a lot more direct and verbose with what it depicts, I just find myself taking comfort in the way things used to be. I guess the fact that most of my art is of characters that have not been culturally relevant in a quarter of a century (at least) is also my folly too. I shudder to think of how long I spent on this drawing, without putting any effort into tabulating that my guess is it has to be at least 10-12 hours? I am still learning how to do various things with the software I'm doing these in (Flash, because I am stupid) and this one was really pushing the program in terms of virtual memory. By the time this one was ready for export the application was very visibly chugging and my tablet pen was starting to drop inputs and lose accuracy especially while scrolling the screen around. |
